Dream job? My dream project would be to collaborate with my long-time favorite chef, Jamie Oliver, to conceptualize, brand, design and build a restaurant driven by wellness, community, sustainability, music, family, and joy. It would celebrate global nature, responsibility, and education, the community, artisans, and the important connection to small local businesses.

Top party tip? My make it or break it party tip would be to RELAX. Proper preparation, then LET IT GO! Bringing people together with comfortable seating, interactive food styles and prep such as charcuterie and “make your own” pizza, and (of course) a relaxed host/hostess is KEY!

First step in the process? Our first step in ANY design project is setting boundaries and asking the tough questions that facilitate and inform the entire project. Investigating, analyzing, and understanding our project parameters, such as site conditions, wish lists, and budget is especially imperative. Then, we define and determine clearly our “concept” for the project. These factors established in STEP ONE of our process completely grounds and drives the entire project. It keeps the teams focused, which in turn maintains budget and timeline.
